Vienna to Krakow

This bicycle tour connects three countries: Austria, the Czech Republic and Poland and follows the ancient, amber trading routes.
You will ride through the wine-growing region of South Moravia and on through steep-sided valleys, riddled with caves – the most beautiful in the Czech Republic. From here you will bike to Olomouc, second only to Prague in terms of impressive architecture.
Bicycle past Hukvaldy, the birthplace of the Czech composer Janácek. Skirting the Beskydy Mountains, you will get some fantastic views of the hillsides. Crossing the border into Poland, this bicycle tour brings you to the town of Osvetim (Auschwitz) and finally to the royal city of Krakow.
If you believe the legends, Kraków was founded on the defeat of a dragon, and its true a mythical atmosphere permeates its attractive streets and squares.
The Old Town contains soaring churches, impressive museums and the vast Rynek Glówny, Europe’s largest market square. As you walk through the Old Town, you’ll sometimes find yourself overwhelmed by the harmony of a quiet back street. It's at times like these that Kraków reveals its harmonious blend of past and present, an essential part of any visit to Poland.
