Four Countries, Three Lakes Cycling Tour

Starting at the lakeside town of Constance, Germany, you cross the border to Switzerland passing through small romantic villages and discovering the rural countryside that spans over this entire region.
Following the Rhine River, you continue on to Zurich riding below dramatic mountains and lush valleys on Lake Zurich before arriving in Sargans, a town dominated by its mighty castle.
The tiny principality of Liechtenstein is the next stop where you see the castle of the royal family towering above the city of Vaduz. The well-maintained bike trail then continues on to Austria, past the delta conservation area and still following the Rhine and past Lake Walen.
Then we return back to Constance where you have the option of staying one final night or finishing your tour.
The mild climate here promotes the growth of lush, southern European vegetation and makes the region well suited to fruit and vine cultivation. The lake is surrounded by picturesque, historic towns and villages. In summer, Lake Constance sparkles against the backdrop of the Alps, radiating a Mediterranean atmosphere with its many boats and their white and coloured sails.
